Emotion in Motion
On November 17, 2013 an EF-4 tornado devastated my hometown of Washington, IL. More than 1,000 homes were destroyed (including my own) and three lives were lost. The following summer, I created a 6x6' wall out of tornado debris from my childhood home. One side was sculptural and the other was made into a chalkboard. Over 28 days, I brought the wall to different town landmarks while inviting passersby to respond to a question written on the wall.
